Recent Landscape Project, Barnstaple
Colin trained at Kew Gardens, worked at Capel Manor, RHS Rosemoor and in private gardens. Developing gardens, often from a blank sheet, in response to the structural needs of a landscape site and the complex issues of sympathetic planting is his strong point.
After qualifying in Landscape Design from Plymouth University, Colin left Rosemoor and started his own landscape design and build business based in Torrington, North Devon. Since that time he has created many gardens, large and small, working with a small team of skilled landscapers and tradesmen. In 2008 he undertook research with Plymouth University and gained an MA in Landscape Research. In 2009 he was awarded Professional Gardener of the Year for his work at North Devon Hospice.
